Hand-embroidered Vintage French Mantlepiece Runner. This runner is worked in red and green cotton on white cotton. It shows boys and girls holding coffee pots and grinders, pies and fish. It would traditionally have been hung in the kitchen. Not only do these pieces look lovely over a fireplace or on a shelf, they also make attractive pelmets over a curtain. This runner has been completely restored and is ready to use.
